I've had an appreciation for art my whole life, but in the late summer of 1995 while living in New York City, I decided to purchase a quality camera and enroll in the School of Visual Arts. There, I encountered the mystifying events that take place in the darkroom. It was fascinating to be able to shoot film during lunch hour in the streets of Soho and to see the results on paper that evening in the darkroom.

Soon after, I began freelancing and sought out a Hasidic (Orthodox Jewish) sect in Postvile, Iowa. I explored adventures from where I traveled and lived throughout South America and the Middle East photographing politics and war before returning back to New York City in January of 2001.

In the Spring of 2007, while still residing in New York City, I began experimenting with the new technology and bought myself a medium format quality digital camera. My fascinations were soon transformed from darkroom madness to shooting and seeing my images on my large computer screen just moments later.  I was able to share my shots with colleagues, friends and family, with whomever, in just seconds.

In 2012, I relocated back to my hometown in Omaha where I reside with my husband, Joshua and 2 children.

My portfolio includes:  Associated Press, Reuters, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Jerusalem Post, Headshots, Children, Family Portraits, B'nai-Mitzvah's, Weddings and Commerical Shoots.

My work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions such as Exit Art, the Culture Project, Scott Pffafman Gallery, Theater of the New City and Soho Triad Gallery in New York City.  I have also shown at various galleries and museums in Pasadena, CA., Ridgefield, CT., Baltimore, MD., Omaha, NE., and Glenside, PA. and I am part of a permanent collection at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

I prefer a picture to look unique. I enjoy creating photographs of individuals that show a distinct side or personality trait. If I can create an image that perfectly defines a moment, then I will have done my job.
